Arrived London after a great flight/s. Albeit tiring and a tad annoying to have 2 stops in Vietnam. We were so grateful to finally get on the aircraft for the last and longest leg. 12 hours to Heathrow from Hanoi. By then we had been awake for 24 hours only catnaps thus far and sleep deprivation was certainly an issue for me by then. However, once settled on board I was sleeping within 1/2 hour and slept most of the way. The Badger was asleep basically as soon as he sat down, bless him.
So after arriving at the hotel we got us to the nearest station, got our Oyster Cards boarded the train and orf we went into London cbd. Did a little shopping and had lunch. We walked back meandering through Soho and Covent Garden.
Called at the 'local' to fortify ourselves. You can just see Big Ben through the windows of this excellent establishment, The Rose. Then it was back yo the hotel for their happy hour...and without finishing drinks...as we were almost falling asleep in them..we tootled orf to bedkins and slept slept slept. No idea what today brings. Yesterday was hot if you can believe me..today, more the London I know, cool and wet. Stay tuned....
