In the swing

Day 2, cruisie start to the day.  Took off again to explore the city.  Walked from the hotel along the Thames and over Westminster Bridge to Big Ben. A bit scary to see two armed police with machine guns...yikes but considering recent events it's sadly understandable.
We flirted with the idea of cashing in our river cruise vouchers but it started to rain...so in our wisdom, we decided that walking around London in the rain was a preferable option.  We ended up in Knightsbridge, popped into Harrods...in one door and out the other...the Badger found an escape route with amazing speed that only a trapped animal facing danger, financial danger in his case, could manage.
By now it was time for lunch....and just down from Harrods we came across the same lovely restaurant as last year.  Warm soup and time to dry out in charming surroundings was nice indeed.
After that we stumbled across the Victoria and Albert Museum and looked at some really old stuff for awhile. The fashion room was actually really interesting.
Finally we gave in...decided to retreat to the hotel, dry out once again and chill...and see to the washing... Arhhh... the excitement!
